It’s songs like “Common Ground” that are a testiment to the continuing relevence of Hip Hop. Sadly, there are those who only experience a narrow selection of this genre’s offerings.
This week, I wanted to feature the lyrical stylings of Cise Starr. Pretty much any collaboration featuring him is bound to be compelling, and “Believe“, a Kenichiro Nishihara song featuring Cise’s vocals, is no exception.
Though the subject matter is familliar (a song about prevailing against all odds is no thematic stranger to the music industry) the lyrical quality is both poetic and grounded, giving the song its own spirit. Nishihara’s instrumental construction provides a rich backdrop, making this an easy reccomendation.
